Taylor Deason, Assoc. AIA
designer
Having a passion for design for as long as she can remember, Taylor Deason knew from a young age that she wanted to become an architect. Thus began her journey from her hometown of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design, where she graduated with a bachelor of architecture and a minor in history of architecture and design.
During her studies at the Fay Jones School, Taylor developed a significant interest in mass timber construction, taking classes and design studios focused on mass timber research and design projects. She regards architecture as something that has a profound impact on the everyday lives of those who experience it, whether they realize it or not, and that there will always be a need for thoughtful design in the built environment.
Taylor is also passionate about building things by hand, including models, furniture, and other types of assembly. In her free time, she enjoys woodworking and learning new skills and methods of woodcraft. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and playing with her dog Hyde.
