Michael C. Pope, AIA

Michael Pope is a modus associate who also serves on the modus prototypes development team. Michael is from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe which gives him a different perspective on his work and world view. He is passionate about simple, elegant and beautiful design.

Michael’s architecture career began as an intern for Marlon Blackwell Architect in his freshman year of architecture school. He was hired as a full-time employee after graduating from the Fay Jones School of Architecture in 2009. During his time with the firm, he was the project manager for the Crystal Bridges Museum Store project in Bentonville, Arkansas. He later moved to Nielsen Architecture where he passed his ARE exams and received his architecture license in addition to working on projects for national and international companies.

Michael joined Modus Studio in April of 2014. His responsibilities within the firm have grown over the years and he enjoys encouraging and participating in the creative culture of the firm. Important to Michael is his faith and spending time with his wife, son and daughter. He also enjoys the outdoors, sports, art, and making of all kinds.
