Uptown Sound Swings

No one can resist a swing, especially a swing that makes music. The "Sound Swings" at Uptown Apartments + Shops are an interactive art exhibit dreamed up by artist Craig Colorusso and fabricated by modus shop.

Colorusso created a musical composition activated by the swings' motions, with each swing playing a different part. The three swings are not likely to line the music up perfectly, so each person's experience is unique. The notes sound good together no matter what order they play in, and the selected tones enhance the feeling of flight. The swings also face each other for a more interactive experience.

The Sound Swings are located just off of Mud Creek Trail in Fayetteville and are open to the public.
