Modus often hosts internal design competitions with the winning entries getting prototyped in our fabrication shop. The Modusbox, a design for a more flexible, beautiful grilling experience, is one of those winning entries. Three scenarios were considered: backyard, tailgating, and camping. The lid allows multiple configurations: a table, stand, griddle, rain shield, firewood holder, and lid. Made from stainless steel, the Modusbox is durable and requires only as much cleaning as your preference for seasoning from your previous meal. The Modusbox, handles, and custom spatula are all packaged in a cedar box. The act of opening it requires breaking apart the box which becomes the firewood for your first fire. Nothing is thrown away, weight and size are minimized, and the rectangular shape allows for easier storage, making it the perfect grill in a world that demands efficient use of space. To order your own Modusbox, please visit our Etsy page.
