15 Church Avenue Door Handles
fayetteville, arkansas
Modus Shop put their 3-in-1 combo machine to the test in the fabrication of a pair of custom door handles for the Modus Studio conference room sliding glass doors. The machine combines a metal lathe, end mill, and a drill press that results in some of the highest precision work in the shop. Using the lathe, bar stock stainless steel and carbon steel is tooled down into seamless cylinders. Local walnut is applied to soften the feel and act as a buffer between the hard metal and delicate glass partitions, but without detracting from the smoothness of the finely tooled steel.
