From former farmland to future classrooms! Today, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Woodland Junior High School for Fayetteville Public Schools, designed to create a benchmark for healthy and sustainable educational environments. The school’s mass timber structure and innovative biophilic design reflect a commitment to student and staff wellness, while the site uniquely honors Fayetteville’s agricultural past. Repurposed barns will become flexible outdoor classrooms and a greenhouse, offering students hands-on learning and a direct connection to the land. This new Woodland campus, opening for the 2027-28 school year, will serve up to 900 seventh and eighth-grade students.
