Small Un-piloted Aircraft Vehicles (sUAS), or drones, have unquestionably become useful in many industries. In the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, they allow us to view projects from every angle, and they are useful before, during, and after construction.
Using drones in combination with photo-mapping software, designers can even create contour maps, survey-grade orthomosaic site plans, and 3D models. Drones can be used to get a glimpse of future views from a yet-to-be constructed multistory building, quickly record the progress of construction, and then, of course, document the completed projects with compelling high-resolution photography and videography. At modus, we have in-house licensed sUAS operators under FAA's Part 107 rule.
