associate aaron speaks celebrates 10th anniversary.

Our team recently celebrated the 10th work anniversary of modus associate Aaron Speaks. The celebration took place at local craft brewery Fossil Cove, where Speaks was given this one-of-a-kind sculpture created by our multitalented artist and fabricator Alex Cogbill. This piece reflects much of Cogbill's recent work with steel and wood. Just as the two materials support each other and adapt to the viewer's angle, Aaron's role at modus over the years has been both as support and as a leader, with a notable depth of work in multiple project typologies.

Aaron is a vital member of the modus team. A natural problem solver, he is always ready with a critical eye for the details and is tenacious in his search for every possibility in design. He believes that good design is never absent thoughtful detailing which takes into account both tectonics and the physical constraints of building. His steady, purposeful manner shines through in each project he has touched.
